Asian Tech Press (Nov 2) -- Perfect World Entertainment, a China-based game company, was recently fined 200,000 yuan ($31,272) by a Beijing market watchdog for re-selling out-of-print Dota props.

The company launched a new warrior warrant in Dota 2 in 2021 and added props previously claimed to be "permanently out of print" to it and re-sold them under a new name.

Founded in 2004, Perfect World entered into a partnership with the American game company Valve Corp in 2012 to obtain the exclusive operating agency for online video game Dota 2 in mainland China.
