Asian Tech Press (Mar. 2) -- South Korean gaming giant Nexon Co Ltd's billionaire founder Kim Jung-ju died on Monday, at the age of 54.
Nexon announced the news Monday, saying its founder passed away in the United States on the last day of February, but did not specify the cause of death.
The deceased had been receiving treatment for depression, however, it seems to have worsened recently, according to Yonhap News Agency, which cited the company as saying.
Founded by Kim in 1994, Nexon grew rapidly through several acquisitions to become the largest gaming company in South Korea, developing such well-known games as Dungeon & Fighter, Crazy Arcade, and Crazyracing KartRider.
