Faraday Future founder's unpaid debt exceeds $1.2 billion

Asian Tech Press (OCT 21) -- Jia Yueting, the founder of the electric car company Faraday Future, has added a new final case to the Beijing Third Intermediate People's Court, with an outstanding amount of about 2.1 billion yuan (approximately $330 million), of which the unpaid amount is about 482 million yuan (approximately US$75 million).

The case is a financial loan contract dispute between the head office business department of CITIC Bank Co. The executors include Jia Yueting and Leshi Holdings (Beijing) Co.

It is worth mentioning that, up to now, the total unfulfilled debt amount of Jia Yueting has exceeded 7.9 billion yuan (approximately US$1.2 billion).
