EV maker XPeng sets up new firm to do car rental, charging businesses

Asian Tech Press (Feb 25) -- Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) has established a new company in Beijing recently to do car rental and charging businesses.

The new company is called Beijing Chengpeng Auto Sales & Service Co., with a registered capital of 5 million yuan ($0.8 million).

Public information shows that the company is 100% owned by XPeng.

The company's major businesses include sales of cars, auto parts and lubricants, car rental, charging services for electric cars, distribution and brokerage of used cars, etc.
