China's OPPO unveils MariSilicon X, its first self-developed chip

Asian Tech Press (Dec 14) -- At the OPPO Future Technology Conference, OPPO founder and CEO Chen Mingyong announced the launch of the first self-researched imaging NPU chip MariSilicon X, produced using TSMC's 6nm advanced process. The next generation of OPPO Find X will debut with the MariSilicon X chip, will be released in the first quarter of 2022.

In addition, Chen Mingyong said that MariSilicon X is a small step for OPPO's self-research chip. OPPO will continue to invest in self-research technologies.
