Asia Tech Wire (May 17) -- Baidu founder and CEO Robin Li said on Thursday that large-model partnerships are expanding from cell phones to PCs and electric vehicles.

In Baidu's Q1 2024 earnings call, Robin Li revealed that following cooperation with Samsung China and Honor in the last quarter, smartphone makers such as Xiaomi, OPPO, and vivo are accessing its ERNIE large model API platform.

He said that the cooperation of the big model is also expanding from the cell phone to the PC and electric car field, as Lenovo and Nio also entered into cooperation with Baidu in the first quarter.

The expansion to smart devices provides ample opportunities to see the ERNIE large model adopted by a larger scale of users, Li said.
