Apple unveils iPhone 16, first AI-enabled phone

Asia Tech Wire (Sep 10) -- Apple on Monday unveiled the iPhone 16, its first phone designed for its artificial intelligence platform Apple Intelligence.

In the latest iPhone lineup, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will feature the new A18 chip.

The two higher-end models, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, will feature 6.3- and 6.9-inch screens, respectively, with the more powerful A18 Pro chip.

Apple said it will launch Apple Intelligence in the U.S. in October and then in markets like China and France next year.

The iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will start at $799, $899, $999 and $1,199 respectively.
