Asian Tech Press (Oct 22) -- AntChain, the blockchain technology subsidiary of Ant Group, formally unveiled its first self-developed security chip T1 at the 2021 Yunqi Conference on Friday.

The chip is equipped with Xuantie E803 high-performance processor IP from T-Head, a semiconductor company under Alibaba's research division DAMO Academy, and will be used in AntChain's self-developed software and hardware devices such as all-in-one blockchain machines in the future.

T1 is a security chip, which is mainly used in IoT devices to resist software and hardware attacks and increase system security by establishing a trusted execution environment.

Before launching the security chip, AntChain had applied technologies such as SDK and blockchain module to intelligent terminals and new energy batteries in commercial vehicles.
