Amazon reaches agreement with Visa over payment fees

Asian Tech Press (Feb 17) -- Amazon.com Inc reportedly reached an agreement with Visa Inc. on the fees for using Visa cards for payments on its website.

Bloomberg reported that Amazon will no longer charge additional fees to customers who use Visa cards on its Singapore and Australian sites, and will not shut down Visa credit card services on its amazon.co.uk site.

The report cites a statement from a Visa spokesperson noting that all Amazon stores and sites will accept Visa.
