Amazon asks India to revoke approval of Future-Reliance deal

Asian Tech Press (Nov 29) -- Amazon.com Inc has asked the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to cancel its decision to approve the $3.4 billion sale of retail assets from Future Retail to Reliance, the second-largest retailer in the country.

Reuters reported on Sunday that Amazon accused Future Retail of misleading the CCI and seeking the latter's approval for the deal, calling the injunction a "brazen attempt to subvert the rule of law".
