On July 17, Huawei Executive Director and Chairman of the Terminal BG Richard Yu said that in addition to the conventional unlocking system, the M8 uses the first CPM collision unlocking redundancy module for collision scenarios, which backs up and integrates the collision signal receiver, power supply, and control drive, and sets up a safety line to reduce the risk of being unable to unlock the door in extreme scenarios. According to Richard Yu, the module has undergone 500,000 charge and discharge tests and can operate stably in an environment of -40 degrees to 85 degrees, and the cost is nearly three times that of the industry's solutions.
