Yiwei Lithium Energy announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Yiwei Energy Storage Malaysia plans to invest in a new energy storage battery project in Kedah, Malaysia, with an investment amount of no more than 8.654 billion yuan. The project will expand the energy storage production base, and the sources of funds include self-owned funds, funds raised by issuing stocks and self-raised funds. The project construction period will not exceed 2.5 years. The project aims to promote the company's overseas business development, reduce the risk of international trade frictions, meet global energy storage needs, and strengthen the company's market position in the lithium battery field. The investment matters still need to be filed/approved by relevant domestic and Malaysian departments, and there is a risk of failure to complete the construction on schedule and failure to achieve expected returns.
