It is reported that Xiaopeng Motors' self-developed AI smart driving chip will be officially mass-produced and launched in the second quarter of this year, and will be first installed on Xiaopeng's new models. Xiaopeng's AI smart driving chip is named "Turing". Xiaopeng has invested manpower in research and development since 2020, and successfully taped out in August last year. Xiaopeng's plan is to use this chip not only in automobiles, but also in AI robots and flying cars in the future. An insider said that according to senior executives of Xiaopeng Motors, this chip integrates two of Xiaopeng's self-developed neural network processing brains, and has made specific architecture processing for neural networks. At the same time, the chip has a 20% higher utilization rate than general-purpose automotive high-computing power chips, "and can process large models with up to 30B (Billion) parameters."
