Unitree founder denies reports of Ant Group, China Mobile planning capital injection

Wang Xingxing, founder of Chinese robotics unicorn company Unitree, denies reports that Ant Group and China Mobile plan to inject capital.

Earlier, media reports said Unitree plans to bring in new investors, including Ant Group and China Mobile, and is still communicating about specific investment shares.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the reports said the financing is not a complete round of new financing, but is directed to specific investors to open up a small share.

In response, Unitree founder Wang Xingxing told media on Tuesday that "the news is not true."
