U.S. Defense Department removes AMEC, IDG Capital from blacklist

The U.S. Department of Defense announced Tuesday that it has removed Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment Inc. (AMEC) and IDG Capital from the Chinese Military Companies List (CMC List or 1260H List) on December 13th.

Pursuant to Section 1260H of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021, the U.S. Department of Defense updates and publishes the 1260H List annually.

Previously, AMEC and IDG Capital were placed on this list due to their perceived affiliation with the Chinese military, resulting in the companies facing reputational damage and potential business restrictions in international markets.

The latest removal means that the U.S. Department of Defense no longer formally identifies the companies as having direct ties to the Chinese military, reducing the negative impact of related policy restrictions on the companies' international business.
