Just one day before President Trump announced a 90-day suspension of high tariffs on most countries, sparking a stock market rally, U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene sold U.S. Treasuries and bought shares of Amazon, Blackstone Group and Tesla. Other stocks Greene bought included chipmakers Nvidia, AMD and Qualcomm, as well as clothing companies Lululemon Athletica Inc. and Nike. The Georgia Republican has close ties to Trump. Her financial report last week disclosed the transactions. It is not clear how much of Greene's trading occurred before Trump announced the suspension of tariffs. But at least $11,011 to $165,000 of purchases took place on April 8.
