The three major U.S. stock indexes closed down collectively, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.95%, the Nasdaq down 0.87%, and the S&P 500 down 0.77%. Most large technology stocks fell, with Meta down more than 2%, Tesla and Intel down more than 1%, Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon down slightly; Netflix rose slightly. Pharmaceutical stocks fell the most, with Sarepta Therapeutics Inc (SRPT) down more than 26% and Eli Lilly down more than 5%. Palantir fell more than 12%, the worst single-day performance in a year. Nuclear power concept stock Constellation Energy Corp. (CEG) rose more than 10%, the largest single-day gain since February 21.
