On April 17, 2025, under the joint witness of the leaders of the two countries, Director Zheng Zhajie of the National Development and Reform Commission exchanged three cooperation documents with the heads of relevant Cambodian departments on key projects and tasks of the Belt and Road Initiative, artificial intelligence, and the planning of Cambodia's "Industrial Development Corridor". The two sides signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China and the Development Council of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the List of Key Projects and Tasks for the Belt and Road Initiative", promoting practical cooperation in various fields under the cooperation plan of the Belt and Road Initiative to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. The two sides signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China and the National Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of the Kingdom of Cambodia on Deepening Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence", strengthening cooperation in the development and governance of artificial intelligence, and promoting artificial intelligence technology to benefit the people of the two countries. The two sides signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China and the Development Council of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the Planning of Cambodia's "Industrial Development Corridor", promoting the construction of Cambodia's "Industrial Development Corridor" and improving Cambodia's economic development level.
