The Ministry of Education and six other departments issued the "Action Plan for the Revitalization of County General High Schools", which mentioned that by 2030, the general high school education resource supply mechanism will be further improved to adapt to the continued growth of the school-age population, the layout of county high schools will be more reasonable, and sufficient degrees will be provided for junior high school graduates to attend general high schools; teachers' abilities and academic qualifications will be further improved, and teacher allocation will meet the needs of education and teaching; better adapt to the impact of artificial intelligence on the transformation of educational methods, and a quality evaluation system that focuses on moral education and all-round development will be basically established. The tendency of exam-oriented education that focuses only on scores and admissions will be effectively reversed; the capacity and level of education governance will be significantly improved, the coordinated development mechanism of urban and rural basic education will be more perfect, the development gap of general high schools in the city will be significantly narrowed, and a high-quality, distinctive and diversified development pattern will be basically formed, which will effectively promote the integrated development of urban and rural areas.
