The Hang Seng Index turned positive after falling more than 4%

Hong Kong stocks opened low and ended high, with the Hang Seng Index turning positive in the afternoon after falling by more than 4% earlier. The Hang Seng Technology Index rose by more than 2%. Chip stocks strengthened, with SMIC rising nearly 11% and Hua Hong Semiconductor rising more than 7%.
