Shanghai verifies for the first time the new model of "computer collaboration" and computing power "crosses thousands of miles" in just 3 minutes
According to the Liberation Daily, recently, Shanghai Power Grid completed the cross-provincial computing power transfer technology for the first time to participate in the virtual power plant peak response test. China Telecom Lingang Intelligent Computing Center located in Lingang, Pudong, received the dispatch instruction of the virtual power plant. Just 3 minutes later, the artificial intelligence computing tasks being run by the center "crossed thousands of miles" and were smoothly transferred to the data center in Shiyan, Hubei. At the same time, the single-machine power load of the Lingang Intelligent Computing Center dropped by 75%. This marks the first time that power dispatching and computing power dispatching have achieved cross-provincial coordinated linkage, opening up a new path for "electricity and computing collaboration", and also providing new solutions for "large electricity users" such as large data centers to participate in grid regulation.
