Samsung reportedly starts 1nm process research and development, to be mass-produced after 2029

Samsung Electronics has begun developing 1.0nm wafer foundry technology, and some R&D personnel who have participated in cutting-edge processes such as 2nm have been transferred to form a special project team. Samsung expects that mass production will be after 2029. In Samsung's public wafer foundry process roadmap, the 1.4nm process planned for mass production in 2027 is currently the most advanced process.
