SEC establishes AI task force

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced on August 1 the creation of a Task Force on Artificial Intelligence (AI), which will lead the agency's efforts to improve operational innovation and efficiency through the responsible use of AI. Valerie Szczepanik, who has been appointed Chief AI Officer at the SEC, will lead the task force.
