Renault's Ampere and STMicroelectronics sign long-term silicon carbide supply agreement to jointly develop electric vehicle power control systems

On December 5, Ampere, a pure smart electric vehicle manufacturer under Renault Group, and STMicroelectronics announced the next step of their strategic cooperation. Renault Group and STMicroelectronics signed a supply agreement for Ampere's long-term supply of silicon carbide (SiC) power modules starting in 2026. This agreement is part of the cooperation plan between Renault Group and STMicroelectronics to develop a power control system (powerbox) for Ampere's ultra-efficient electric vehicle inverter.
