Pfizer's Beijing R&D center is expected to open this weekend, according to Yicai.

Wednesday's report said that Pfizer will officially announce the opening of its Beijing R&D center, which is located in BioParK, at the end of this week, officials from the Beijing Municipality disclosed at a meeting during the Boao Forum for Asia.

BioParK is an international pharmaceutical innovation park located in Beijing E-Town, with a total planned area of 5.8 square kilometers.

Since the launch, BioParK is said to be in close contact with a range of multinational pharmaceutical companies.

In addition to Pfizer, a number of major foreign pharmaceutical projects, regional headquarters, R&D centers, and development and creative centers are expected to land in BioParK this year.

Public information shows that the size of Beijing's pharmaceutical and health industry exceeded one trillion yuan in 2024, up 8.7% year-on-year.
