Panasonic Energy, a subsidiary of Panasonic Holdings, announced on September 18th that it will focus on producing "all-solid-state batteries," considered a promising candidate for next-generation batteries. Compared to lithium-ion batteries, all-solid-state batteries have a lower fire risk and can operate in high-temperature environments. Panasonic Energy plans to utilize these features for applications in industrial machinery and other applications, aiming to ship samples by fiscal 2026.
