OpenAI's former chief technology officer's AI startup completes $2 billion in financing, led by a16z, with participation from Nvidia, AMD and others

On July 15, local time, Mira Murati, former chief technology officer of OpenAI, announced that the AI startup Thinking Machines Lab founded by him has completed a $2 billion financing round, led by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), with participation from Nvidia, Accel, ServiceNow, Cisco, AMD, Jane Street, etc. Murati revealed that its first product "will be launched in the coming months."
