According to new research conducted jointly by OpenAI and MIT, the increased use of chatbots such as ChatGPT may be associated with increased loneliness and less time spent interacting with others. According to the research released recently, people who spend more time typing or talking with ChatGPT every day tend to show a higher degree of emotional dependence on the chatbot, have more problems with its use, and feel more lonely. These findings come from two studies conducted by researchers from the two institutions, but have not yet been peer-reviewed.
