U.S. billionaire Elon Musk's artificial intelligence startup xAI announced on Monday the completion of a $6 billion Series C funding round and released the list of investors.
The list shows that Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), BlackRock, Fidelity, Kingdom Holdings, Morgan Stanley and Sequoia Capital participated in the round of financing.
Among them, a16z, Fidelity and Sequoia Capital also participated in xAI's Series B financing.
Notably, U.S. semiconductor giants Nvidia and AMD also contributed as strategic investors and will support xAI's rapid expansion of its infrastructure.
Other investors were Lightspeed, MGX, Oman Investment Authority (OIA), Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Valor Equity Partners and Vy Capital.
This is another major funding round for xAI after it closed a $6 billion Series B round in late May.
According to Forbes, xAI is valued at more than $40 billion after completing its latest funding round.
