Recently, Huang Guo, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the State Drug Administration, led a team to Shandong to visit Qingdao Marine Biomedicine Research Institute, AstraZeneca Qingdao Inhalation Aerosol Production and Supply Base, and Qilu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to conduct in-depth research on promoting high-quality development of the pharmaceutical industry. Huang Guo emphasized that the State Drug Administration attaches great importance to the research and development of innovative drugs and foreign cooperation. The drug regulatory department will further optimize the review and approval process, support the introduction of original research drugs into domestic production, and enhance the confidence of multinational companies in investing and developing in China; at the same time, it will continue to improve relevant policies, support and guide domestic enterprises, research and development institutions, etc. to increase the research and development of innovative drugs and high-quality generic drugs, and actively participate in the competition in both domestic and international markets.
