This morning, many highways in Hubei Province were affected by dense fog, and more than 30 toll stations were temporarily closed, causing certain impacts on travel. The Wuhan Meteorological Observatory issued an orange fog warning signal at 4:32 a.m. on January 5, pointing out that visibility in some areas of Wuhan was extremely low, less than 200 meters, and even less than 50 meters in some areas. This situation is expected to continue until the morning. The affected sections include important trunk lines such as G0421 Xuguan Expressway, G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway, and specific sections of several local highways. It is particularly important to note that in addition to the toll stations controlled due to fog, some toll stations and service areas have implemented traffic control due to construction or safety considerations.
