Microsoft recently said in Bern, Switzerland that it will invest $400 million in Switzerland for artificial intelligence infrastructure and cloud computing. The funds will be used to expand and upgrade Microsoft's four data centers near Geneva and Zurich in response to Switzerland's growing demand for artificial intelligence and cloud computing services. The expansion will serve existing and new customers and ensure that data is stored in Switzerland, which is an important requirement for industries such as healthcare, finance and government. Microsoft will also expand its cooperation with small and medium-sized enterprises and increase training to help people use artificial intelligence and digital tools. Microsoft currently has 1,000 employees in Switzerland, but did not elaborate on how many jobs this investment will create in the future.
