MicroStrategy buys 5,262 bitcoins for about $561 million

MicroStrategy, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, announced on Monday that it acquired approximately 5,262 Bitcoins for approximately $561 million in cash, including fees and expenses, at an average price of approximately $106,662 during the period of Dec. 16, 2024 to Dec. 22, 2024.

As of December 22, 2024, MicroStrategy and its subsidiaries held a total of approximately 444,262 bitcoins for a total purchase price of approximately $27.7 billion, at an average price of approximately $62,257.

MicroStrategy disclosed that from October 1, 2024 to December 22, 2024, the company achieved a Bitcoin yield of 47.4%.

And from January 1, 2024 to December 22, 2024, it realized a bitcoin yield of 73.7%.
