Meta, Facebook's parent company, will notify affected employees in most countries starting from the morning of February 10, local time, to implement its previously announced plan to lay off about 5% of its employees, involving about 3,700 people. Meta's human resources director Janelle Gale said the layoffs will be carried out in different regions within a few days, and American employees will be notified first.
