On September 25th, local time, Meta announced that it would enable "Teen Accounts" for teenage users of Facebook and Messenger worldwide. This formal rollout comes months after the feature launched in major English-speaking countries. The US company stated in a blog post: "We've already enabled Teen Accounts for hundreds of millions of teenagers across Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, and now we're expanding this feature to teen users on Facebook and Messenger globally." Meta's Teen Accounts, which include stricter security settings, content restrictions, and parental controls for users aged 13 to 17, were first introduced on Instagram last year. In April of this year, the company expanded the feature to Facebook and Messenger chat services in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
