On July 23, at the first International Low-Altitude Economy Expo, Shanghai Volant Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. (Volant for short) signed a tripartite cooperation agreement with Thailand Pan Pacific Co., Ltd. (Pan Pacific) and China Aviation Technology International Engineering Co., Ltd. (AVIC Engineering for short). According to the agreement, Pan Pacific will purchase 500 Tianxing eVTOLs (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft) with a total order amount of US$1.75 billion (about RMB 12.5 billion); AVIC Engineering is responsible for providing low-altitude infrastructure for the cooperation between the two parties. In November 2023, the Volant eVTOL intelligent manufacturing base project will be located in Zigong Aviation Industrial Park, with an annual production capacity of 300 eVTOLs.
