Jin Guanping of Economic Daily: Activating the supply and demand engine to expand sports consumption
my country's sports consumption market continues to grow in vitality, but its potential has yet to be fully realized. To further stimulate the momentum of sports consumption, we must work together on both the supply and demand sides, expanding consumption space through innovative scenarios and enhancing the consumer experience with high-quality services, thus creating a virtuous cycle of mutually reinforcing supply and demand. Supply-side reform is the foundation for unleashing the potential of sports consumption. Currently, the supply of sports products and services still faces shortcomings, such as a shortage of high-quality, personalized products, relatively lagging development of emerging sports, and insufficient depth in intelligent and digital applications. The key to addressing these challenges lies in deepening reform and driving innovation. On the one hand, we must vigorously promote the "Sports Plus" model, fostering the deep integration of sports with cultural tourism, education, health, and technology industries. We must actively cultivate new business models and create a number of distinctive and multifunctional sports service complexes and leisure bases to enrich consumer choice. On the other hand, we must accelerate the use of new technologies such as 5G, big data, and artificial intelligence to empower the sports industry, developing new models such as smart venues, online fitness, and cloud-based events, improving supply efficiency and quality, and meeting the diverse and high-quality demands of consumers.
