On July 5, renowned American entrepreneur Elon Musk announced the formation of a new political party, the "American Party." However, nearly a month after the announcement, Musk has yet to register the party. Axios News reported on July 30 that nearly a month after Musk pledged to form a political party, he still hadn't submitted any formal documents. Tesla investor James Fishback believes Musk used the announcement of the "American Party" as an outlet for his feelings after his break with Trump, but he has yet to submit registration documents or field a candidate, suggesting "no substantive progress at all."
