Hyundai Motor is reportedly in talks with Samsung Electronics to manufacture chips for self-driving cars.

People familiar with the matter said last week that Hyundai Motor hopes to use Samsung Electronics' automotive semiconductor production line to mass-produce the self-driving chips it is developing.

And the production line uses the 5-nanometer "SF5A" process.

The source also said that the two companies are in serious discussions on the matter.
