Tesla's refreshed Model Y vehicles were officially launched in China on Friday.

The model, which features a new exterior design and a price hike of 12,600 yuan to 13,600 yuan compared to its old version, is expected to begin deliveries in March.

In response, Richard Yu, chairman of the Intelligent Automotive Solution BU at Huawei, commented in his WeChat circle of friends, "Looking at the data, the Zhijie R7 still maintains a leading advantage! After getting the real car, let's compare it carefully!"

Yu also said, "To be frank, the Zhijie R7 still has a clear leading advantage!"

The Zhijie R7 is a pure electric coupe SUV built by Huawei in collaboration with Chery Automobile and launched at the end of September 2024.

"They are making up for some of the problems and shortcomings of past products. We will also carefully analyze what is worth learning from, including bold innovations and practices in simplifying the architecture and reducing costs, etc.," he added.
