At the Huawei Developer Conference 2025 held on June 20, Yu Chengdong, Huawei's executive director and chairman of the Terminal BG, stated that open source Hongmeng is the fastest-growing open source operating system, with more than 130 million lines of code, nearly 9,000 community contributors, 1,200 software and hardware products, and 69 third-party distributions, covering many fields such as government affairs, transportation, finance, electricity, water conservancy, and construction.
