On September 18th, at the Huawei Connect 2025 conference, Huawei Vice Chairman and Rotating Chairman Eric Xu stated that a supernode is physically composed of multiple machines, but logically functions as a single machine for learning, thinking, and reasoning. At the conference, Huawei released its latest supernode products, the Atlas 950 SuperPoD and Atlas 960 SuperPoD, supporting 8,192 and 15,488 Ascend cards, respectively. Based on the supernodes, Huawei also released the Atlas 950 SuperCluster and Atlas 960 SuperCluster supernode clusters, with computing power exceeding 500,000 and one million cards, respectively.
