Hong Kong stocks opened lower, with the Hang Seng Index opening 0.8% lower and the Hang Seng Tech Index 0.97% lower. CXO and innovative drug stocks all opened lower, with BeiGene down 3.5%, WuXi AppTec down 2.07%, and Fosun Pharma down 1.91%, following Trump's announcement that he would impose a 100% tariff on patented and branded drugs.
