Hong Kong stocks closed: Hang Seng Index rose 2.40% Hang Seng Technology Index rose 2.34%

At the close of Hong Kong stocks, the Hang Seng Index rose 2.40% and the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 2.34%. Gold, retail and education sectors led the gains. The Hong Kong Stock Technology ETF (159751) closed up 2.23%, and the Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Connect ETF (159318) closed up 1.28%. Chifeng Gold rose more than 22%, Dongfang Select rose more than 12%, Pop Mart, Xpeng Motors, and WuXi Biologics rose more than 6%.
