At the close of Hong Kong stocks, the Hang Seng Index fell 1.09% and the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 1.13%. The Hong Kong Stock Technology ETF (159751) closed down 0.97%, and the Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Connect ETF (159318) closed down 0.93%. The semiconductor sector rose in the afternoon, with Hua Hong Semiconductor rising more than 9% and SMIC rising nearly 5%.
