Hong Kong Stock Market Midday Review: Hang Seng Index rose 1.02%, Hang Seng Tech Index rose 1.48%

At the midday close of Hong Kong stocks, the Hang Seng Index rose 1.02%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 1.48%. The Hong Kong Tech ETF (159751) rose 1.71%, and the Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Connect ETF (159318) rose 1.05%. Among sectors, industrial conglomerates and life science tools saw the largest gains. Among individual stocks, WuXi AppTec rose 5.97%, Baidu Group-SW rose 5.6%, Jiangxi Copper Co., Ltd. rose 4.64%, Luoyang Molybdenum Co., Ltd. rose 4.51%, CICC rose 4.5%, and Ganfeng Lithium Co., Ltd. rose 4.15%. Zai Lab fell 4.45%, and Shangao Holdings fell 13.56%. Huaxin Cement rose 11.71%, and Huiju Technology Co., Ltd. rose 9.47%.

                                    Southbound funds saw a significant net inflow of 5.345 billion yuan today. On the Shanghai side of the Hong Kong Stock Connect, Pop Mart and CNOOC saw net inflows of HK$538 million and HK$529 million, respectively, while Hua Hong Semiconductor saw the largest net inflow of HK$356 million. On the Shenzhen side of the Hong Kong Stock Connect, Meituan-W and CNOOC saw net inflows of HK$487 million and HK$451 million, respectively, while Hua Hong Semiconductor saw the largest net inflow of HK$659 million.
