Hang Seng Index closed down 0.04% on the first trading day of the Year of the Snake; SMIC rose more than 10%

On the first trading day of the Year of the Snake, the Hang Seng Index closed down 0.04%, while the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 0.29%. AI concept stocks strengthened, with Alibaba up more than 6%, SMIC up more than 10%, and Kingsoft Cloud up more than 31%, hitting a record high. The sharp drop in cryptocurrencies dragged down related sectors, with Xiong'an Technology and OKEx Cloud Chain down more than 9%, and Xinhuo Technology Holdings down nearly 4%.
