Google on Monday announced the development of Willow, a chip with superior computing power for quantum computers.
The U.S. tech giant claimed that the chip would take only five minutes to accomplish what the fastest existing computers would take 10 septillion (1025) years to accomplish.
In addition to its high-speed computing power, Willow has outstanding error-correction capabilities, paving the way for the development of a "useful, large-scale quantum computer," Google said in a release on its website.
