Former Netflix CEO joins Anthropic's board of directors

U.S. AI startup Anthropic announced on Wednesday that Netflix co-founder and former CEO Reed Hastings has joined the company's board of directors.

Hastings recently donated $50 million to Bowdoin College to establish a research program on AI and humans, the statement said.

The program aims to explore how AI will transform work, relationships and education, and to develop an ethical framework for its application, which "are all areas that align closely with Anthropic's own research priorities."
