Eni to collaborate with several UAE companies on data centers and critical minerals
Italian energy giant Eni Group announced on February 24 local time that it had signed a letter of intent with UAE technology giant G42 and AI investment company MGX to develop a data center in Italy to store, process and manage large amounts of data, with a planned IT capacity of up to 1 gigawatt. The energy used in the data center will come from Eni's natural gas power plant using carbon capture and storage technology. In addition, Eni signed a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company (ADQ), which focuses on critical infrastructure and supply chains, to cooperate in the research and development of key minerals.
